I Could Slowly Be Turning Into An Atheist. Here’s Why.
I grew up Catholic. Going to mass every Sunday. Saying the rosary everyday. I prayed to Saint Antony when I lost an item. Prayed to Mother Mary to intercede on my behalf.
I wore a brown scapula on my neck to prevent me from dying a sudden death and a miraculous medal expecting a miracle anytime. I believed some ‘blessed water’ at the entrance of the church could heal because like I said, I grew up Catholic.
When I look at all that now. It’s laughable!
Logic beats all those religious beliefs I believed in. And as I am going through life and discovering new information, I am changing my opinion based on it.
I do see design in nature. Surely, something as beautiful as the universe with all its functioning intricacies must have a creator right? Just like all the buildings, clothes, art, furniture etc that we have. They all don’t happen by accident, do they?
So the universe must have a creator.
But here is what I am thinking…
Beautiful things do happen by accident sometimes. Leaves falling at random can create beautiful landscapes. Rivers that forge their own course are art pieces in themselves. Stunning to look at! A piece of glass can crack leaving a beautiful master piece.
