How To Cope When You Don’t Have Friends
Not every one of us is lucky to have that Destiny’s Child kind of friendship. You know, the kind where you have loyal friends whom you grow up with physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially.
The kind of healthy friendship that not only grows but nurtures you healthily.
The kind that proves to you that family is not blood. A sisterhood or brotherhood that is so loving and real that gene makeup becomes a non-issue.
I have always wanted that kind of friendship. And I always ogle in envy whenever I see people that have embraced each other in this way.
I love to see that kind of love. The authenticity of it all. The rawness. The realness. I imagine how it must feel to know that you have someone who has your back no matter what. That they truly care about you, are rooting for you, they feel your pain and genuinely celebrate your joys.
My goodness! That’s a unicorn.
And only a few people have been visited by the friendship fairy godmother. And sadly, it hurts to admit that I am not one of them.
