Christmas is a beloved holiday by many people from all over the world. It is celebrated in every corner of the globe. With its own theme colors, songs, and mood, it is unmissable.
Not everybody cares for it though. And one of them is me. Here’s why…
Solitude
I am a loner. I prefer solitude and silence and the festivities offer the exact opposite.
I also hate gatherings and the preparations for them. That includes the cooking and thorough cleaning that is required for this. I hate entertaining too. The sharing of cheesy jokes and the constant attempts to impress - catch me dead doing them!
Also, the fakery and drama that ensues in family gatherings is something I strive to avoid.
Premature decorations and late pull-downs
There is nothing as annoying as decorations in October. I went to a mall in early October and Christmas lights were already blinking — three months too early!
Where is the rush to end the year really? I’ll admit they looked really good especially at night, but still…no!
