Patriotism
Kenyans are very patriotic. Go to a YouTube video that attracts a Kenyan audience and you will find the Kenyan flag on the comments from Kenyans with them adding how proud they are of being Kenyan.
Kenyans also rally their support behind their world famous athletes when they represent their country in international competitions. They also celebrate them immensely welcoming them back home with loud celebrations like the heroes they are.
Don’t mention Barrack Obama to a Kenyan! That is a conversation that might never end.
Their love for meat
If you want to win the heart of a kenyan girl, you have to take her to a nyama choma joint.
Nyama choma is roasted meat; either chicken, goat or beef and is a delicacy normally served with kachumbari (an onion, tomato and pepper salsa) and accompanied by a starch mainly fries, roasted potatoes, ugali, (cooked grounded maize flour) or mashed potatoes.
Nyama choma joints operate daily and are found in also every restaurant. Beer drinkers enjoy it as a bite alongside their merry making.
Meat is also a loved ingredient in many local delicacies in Kenya. ‘ I love you like rice with meat’ is a popular Kenyan phrase that has even been immortalised in a song.
