I am drawn to the Dutch.
I do not wish to highlight stereotypes as those are too narrow minded and can be annoying. Some stereotypes about people may have an element of truth in them though depending on how you look at it. I may not be very well versed with the Dutch and their culture but I do know with certainty that I love them.
Here are ten reasons why I am drawn to the Dutch.
Frugality
Nobody likes to hold onto their coin like the Dutch. Most Dutch people that I personally know are very frugal. They will not spend a cent unless it is necessary.
I asked my Dutch friend about it and this is what he said. “I don’t really know what to tell you about Dutch frugality. I know it’s a stereotype, but for me it’s so normal that I don’t really know what aspects are special and what aspects are typically Dutch.”
What can reveal more about Dutch frugality than that?
I am very frugal too. I could say I am Dutch in that way. 😉
Height
I am a sucker for tall men. And Dutch men are tall! I have always harboured an affinity towards Dutch men because of this. I have even passport “Tindered” just to have an encounter with them and in the hope that I could grab one for myself.
